Sunil gavaskar blamed anushka Sharma for virat's bad performance

 

Controversy erupted over a comment by former Indian batting legend and commentator Sunil Gavaskar during the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab in the IPL. Gavaskar's remarks about RCB captain Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma have sparked controversy. Anushka also reacted strongly to Gavaskar's remarks. Anushka has issued a statement in this regard in a post on Instagram.

 Many have complained on social media that Gaoskar has made comments blaming wives for men's failure. Anushka writes in this regard, Sunil Gavaskar, I want to tell you that your comment is very offensive. I want to know from you, why a cricketer is making comments that blame his wife for his performance.

 "You have come to respect the personal life of every cricketer," Anushka added. I think it should apply to me as well. 

RCB captain Kohli's performance in the match against Kings XI Punjab was not brilliant at all. He failed to catch a pair of wickets by the captain of the opposition KL Rahul. Kohli did not get the taste of batting success by going down to chase big runs. He was dismissed for just five runs.

 Sitting in the commentary box, Gavaskar commented on Kohli's actress wife Anushka. His remarks were not well received by RCB supporters. Some have even demanded that Sunil Gavaskar be removed from the panel of commentators.

 Commenting, Gavaskar said, "Virat has only practised with Anushka bowling during the lockdown."

 Anushka has been blamed for Kohli's poor performance on the field several times in the last few years.
