IPL 2020 - 3 batsmen who scored the most runs for Chennai Super Kings

 There is only 2 days left for IPL 2020 to end. Many teams performed well in this season of IPL, while some big teams also performed poorly. The final match of IPL 2020 will be played tomorrow between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. While Mumbai defeated Delhi's team in Qualifier One, Delhi defeated Hyderabad's team in Qualifier Two to seal their place in the final.  


This season was the worst for Chennai Super Kings, the team that was first out of the league stage. Chennai team could win only six of their 14 matches and had to face defeat in eight matches.


 The Chennai Super Kings team consisted mostly of senior players and most of the leading batsmen gave a disappointing performance to the team with their batting. However, excepting one or two players, all the other batsmen were seen struggling this season. The team had to bear the brunt of it. Despite all this, there were some batsmen for the team who scored useful runs for the team. 


Through this article we are going to discuss our three batsmen who have scored the most runs for Chennai Super Kings in this season:


3. Shane watson (299 runs) :

Shane Watson, who performed brilliantly for Chennai in IPL 2018 and 2019, was unable to perform as per his fame in his last IPL. Watson has recently announced his retirement from IPL as well. The Chennai batsman had played some useful innings this season. Watson scored 299 runs in 11 matches played this season, including 3 half-centuries. 


2. Ambati Rayudu(359 runs) :

Ever since Ambati Rayudu joined the Chennai Super Kings from the Mumbai Indians team, he has scored consistently for this team. This season of IPL also Rayudu came in the middle order and played many useful innings for Chennai team. Although Rayudu could not play very big innings this season, but small innings were definitely seen with his bat. Rayudu scored 359 runs in 12 matches played this season and has a half-century to his name.

The South African player, who opened for Chennai Super Kings, was the best batsman for Chennai this season. Du Plessi has done well in batting as well as he has taken some tremendous catches in fielding as well. Faf appeared for the Chennai Super Kings opening this season and played a number of great innings this season, taking responsibility for the opening. Faf scored 449 runs in 13 matches played this season and also scored 4 fifties during this period.
