IPL 2020: KKR team analysis; squad, strength, weakness

 

 Putting an end to all doubts, the eight-team clash in the most exciting T20 League IPL in the world is starting on yesterday in the United Arab Emirates. Eight franchise teams have already reached the UAE.

Preparations for the final round of India's best fight abroad are now in full swing. The two-time champions will start their campaign in the Kolkata Knight Riders tournament on September 23. The opponent is the last champion Mumbai Indians.

How is the Kolkata Knight Riders team this time? Teams like Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians, Chennai super kings have multiple Indian star cricketers. But there is no Indian star cricketer in that sense except Kuldeep Yadav and Dinesh Karthik, the only two in the night riders team.

 KKR has confidence in team building, on players who know 20-over cricket. In the auction, KKR released some star players like Chris Lynn, Robin Uthappa, Piyush Chawla and bought some valuable player who is currently in the form in their countryside or domestic league such player like Eoin Morgan, pat Cummins, and Tom Banton.Also, pat Cummins consider as a most expensive cricket player in the auction of IPL 2020. Strength : 

• The KKR batting line-up contains some exciting, young and informs player like Nitish Rana, Shubman Gill, Dynamic English batsman Tom Banton. Tom Banton was purchased by the franchise at the auction after his exploits in English T20 and Australian Big Bash competitions. 

• With Dinesh Karthik and Andre Russell, the KKR middle-order was already one of the most destructive and strong middle order among all IPL 2020 sides. Their middle-order has now been further enhanced by the arrival of England captain Eoin Morgan.

• To open the batting, KKR can choose from Sunil Narine, Tom Banton, Shubman Gill and the attack Maharashtra-based batsman Rahul Tripathi.

Weaknesses: 

• Over dependent on Russell is a great weakness for the night camp. Earlier, Russell has repeatedly brought out almost lost matches by his mussel power. But over-dependent on him can be detrimental to the team.

•  The failure of promising young batsmen in the face of pressure in several matches over the past season could be a nightmare for the camp. 

• Meanwhile, there are doubts about the pitch of the desert city. If the pitch is slow than may be Russell-Magic can't work. So the Knights have to cut the Russel dependency

• Apart from new recruits Pat Cummins and Lockie Ferguson, KKR's fast bowling cartel can be considered a fairly inexperienced one.

• Lack of Indian star players. They have many foreign star players but only 4 players can play in the top 11. The Indian star players are only a few in the top 11 they are Dinesh Karthik, Kuldeep Yadav, Nitish Rana, subhman gill.
