 Shoaib Akhtar is also known as 'Rawalpindi Express'.  This Pakistani cricketer is considered one of the fastest bowlers of all time.  He has achieved the world record for fastest bowling at a speed of  161.3 kmph against England in the 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup.


2. Brett Lee (160.1 kmph)

Known for his speed and technique, Australian fast bowler Brett Lee has got a respectable position in the list of the world's top fast bowlers.  He was the fastest bowler at a speed of 160.1 km per hour in 2005 in Napier's bilateral series against New Zealand.  Brett Lee has claimed 310 wickets in ODIs and 380 in ODIs.  


 3. Shaun William Tait:  (160.1 kmph)

 He is a right-handed fast bowler and currently plays mostly in the T20 format.  They are also known as "wild things".  Tate bowled at a speed of 160.1 kmph in a T20 match against Pakistan in 2010.  He is considered to be Australia's fastest bowler.  He bowled his career fastest spell against England at the Lord's ground in 2010 at 161.1 kmph and is considered the second fastest bowler after Shoaib Akhtar.


 

 

 4. Jeffrey Robert Thomson:  (160.6 kmph)

 Thomson is considered one of the fiercest fast bowlers in the history of cricket, Jeffrey Thomson was considered one of the most aggressive cricketers in the 1970s.  He bowled against West Indies in 1975 at a speed of 160.4 kmph.



5. Mitchell Starc:  (160.4 kmph)

The player, who proved to be the backbone of the present fast bowling within the Australian team, made tons of headlines against New Zealand by throwing the ball at Waka (Perth), the second-fastest ball in Test history (160.4 kmph). He made his Test debut against India and made his ODI debut against India in 2010. In 75 ODIs, this player has 145 wickets and in 19 Tests in 47 Tests this player has made his name.



6.  Andy Roberts:  (159.5 kmph)

Sir Andy Roberts is known as a brilliant fast bowler.  He has taken 7-7 wickets in an innings of a Test match twice.  He achieved a new dimension of fast bowling at a speed of 159.5 kmph against Australia in Perth in 1975.


7.  Fidel Edwards: (157.7 kmph)

 For round-arm bowling to West Indies right-arm fast bowler Edwards, he has been compared to Jeffrey Thomson.  Edwards hit a ball during a match against South Africa in 2003 at speeds up to 157.7 kmph, after which he became known as a successful fast bowler.


8. Mitchell Johnson  (156.8 kmph)

Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson's bowling considered as iron in the world.  His ball has been the right mix of speed and bounce.  This player's performance against England team was excellent.  In 2013, Johnson surprised everyone by throwing the fastest ball of his career at 156.8 kmph against England at the MCG ground.



9. Mohammad Sami: (156.5 kmph)

 He is a right-arm fast bowler from Pakistan and is considered to be one of the fastest bowlers after Shoaib Akhtar.  He is known for his fast pace and yorkers.  Sami bowls only and has taken a hat-trick in all formats of the game.  He bowled at a rapid pace of 156.4 kmph against Zimbabwe during the 2003 Sharjah Cup event.


10.Shane Bond:  (156.4 kmph)

He is the best New Zealand fast bowler.  Bond is known for his speed, control and accuracy in bowling.  All these qualities are indicative of the greatness of the top fast bowlers in the cricket world.  In the 2003 World Cup, the fastest speed of this right-handed bowler was measured at 156.4 km per hour.

Anrich nortje : (156.2 kmph)


Anrich nortje, this south African fast bowler surprise everyone by throwing fastest bowl ever in ipl history. He played for Delhi capitals this time on 2020 when he bowled his career fastest spell at a speed of 156.2 kmph against Rajasthan royals.


Dale William Stein: 


This is a South African right-arm fast bowler who usually bowls at speeds of 145 to 150 kmph.  Dale Steyn bowled the fastest during the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2010 at a speed of 156.2 kmph.  Steyn bowled a ball against New Zealand at the fastest speed of 155.7 kmph (96.8 mph) in international cricket.  Where he was ranked as the fastest bowler along with Lasith Malinga.


 Lasith Malinga: 


Only Malinga is known for round-arm bowling, Sri Lankan fast bowler Malinga bowled at a speed of 155.7 kmph against New Zealand in Mumbai in 2011.


Apart from the aforementioned top ten fast bowlers in the history of cricket, there are also some bowlers in India who came close to these bowlers.  Some of them still have the ability to join the association of the greatest bowlers.  In the 1999 World Cup, Javagal Srinath bowled at a speed of 154.5 kmph, making him the fastest bowler in India.  Ishant Sharma bowled at 152.6 kmph against Australia in 2008.  Varun Aaron did well in the India-Sri Lanka series in 2014, bowling at a speed of 152.5 kmph, making him the third fastest bowler in India.  During the ODI series in Sri Lanka, Umesh Yadav bowled at a speed of around 152.2 kmph.  During the 2003 World Cup in South Africa, Ashish Nehra bowled a ball against Zimbabwe at a speed of 149.7.
